Just A little Diddy About the Editor
A Brief Testimony

I was born in 1957 and grew up in a small town south of Kansas City that is Paola. KS. Wasn't raised in a Christian home by no means but, my Mother who raised us kids did teach right from wrong and to respect others and our elders.
We were after a certian age left to ourselves most of the time while she was busy with work and thus left to our own devices.
I wasn't a bad kid in the sense of seeking to hurt someone or rip them off but did get into some mischief in my younger years. As I got into my teenage years is when I started to dabble with what your parents would deem the wrong crowd. That didn't necessarily mean that they were all bad per say but they also weren't all good either.
Because this is online I am by no means going to get into any depth of some of the things experienced but, can say I had experienced quite a lot by age 16. Which is when by God's Grace and by His Holy Spirit dealing heavy upon my heart that things changed for me. God led some friends of mine (Gary Byers, Mary Krout & Cathy Kauffman) to take the time and talk to me about Jesus and even invite me to a Lady's house where when I was much younger used to go and play with her kids. Now she (Judy Crayton) was ministering to youths in and through her house and holding Bible Studies at her house also.
Well, to make the story short. After one night of a bible study conducted as was the norm for those that went there often they would end with each person praying  aloud. I was instructed I didn't have to of course but that is when God really tugged on my heart and when it came to me I couldn't wait to just pour my heart out and confess my Sin of unbelief and a sinner in need of His forgiveness that is Jesus of Whom I speak and at that moment I can't really put words as to what happened but God came into this sinners heart that night. My life did a 180 and except for a few things I didn't shed such as my hair  (being long) all else was past and I was not having any desire to do the things I formerly had been doing and reading God's Word was precious and talking to other about Jesus was Sweet. Wished that it had always remained like that but, after a couple of years and trying to be a lone ranger and not as grounded as I needed to be in God's Word I slid back. It was slow but it did come and I was not a clay pot fit for the Master again.

To Skip a bunch of Years God again not only by his Grace & mercy but, by His longsuffering did bring me to a point of surrender and repentance (not being saved again mind you) but repenting and turning back to him. again God gave me quick victory over those sins which did so easily beset me. Again God was using me for his Glory and Again life was good. Still have some bumps in the road now and then but Thankfully he doesn't let me sink deep back into the mire. That is my Testimony of God's Grace & Love through His Son to me and I have witnessed it shown to many others through the Years and can testify God is Good, Amen & Amen

Word up my Brother & Sister's

Hey, my fellow bothers and sisters in the Lord here the word up is where you can have a chance to give the word of the day so as to be a blessing for all that come to and read on this site. You have the word of the day and please submit  and hope you'll see that here at Keep N it real God's Word is always UP.

Here is the Word that was submitted from Shannon Williams

What is at the bottom of our trouble

People have always struggled with this age-old question: What is at the bottom of our trouble.

No matter how hard we try, education, wealth, success and money never seem to erase our trouble. Instead, they seem to increase our awareness of them. The poorest as well are richest are affected.
An inner voice keeps telling us something is missing. We feel " out of tune" with the Almighty God to whom we are accountable.

THE REAL CUASE

Our troubles are only symptoms; The real cause is sin, or rebellion against God's will. Self- will rises up against God and His sovereign right over us.
Sin in the heart works itself out in the life in different degrees and ways; but the results are the same- wrong doing because of wrong choosing.

Sin not only offends God, but it also harms the sinner. "He who sins......Wrongs his own soul"(Proverbs 8:36). The effects of sin are sure, both here and in the hereafter.

DEATH NO CURE

Many wills think that all their troubles end when they die; but death is no cure for sin, nor does it end the misery of the sinner. According to Rev 21:8, all unrepentant sinners "shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death".
Many wills think that all their troubles end when they die; but death is no cure for sin, nor does it end the misery of the sinner. According to Rev 21:8, all unrepentant sinners "shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death".

We know men suffer now because of sin, But consider what sin will means in the hereafter, when all this world's interest, excitements, and illusions are over, and the unrepentant soul experiences the dread reality of God's judgement for sin!
We cannot save ourselves- our soul's enemy is too strong for us. there is no remedy for sin in political changes, environmental changes, physical and mental changes or scientific advances. Codes of honor or ethics don't work.

THE ONLY CURE

Only the One whom we have sinned against can save us from the burden and penalty of our sin. "Nor is there salvation in any other for there is no other name under heaven.......by which you may be saved" (Act 4:12)
Only the death of Jesus Christ and his Crucifix on the cross could pay the overwhelming debt of sin and secure for us divine forgiveness: The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1:7)
Christ is eager to save you." The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10)."I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10)

THE CHOICE IS YOURS

Do you want to be free from the guilt and power of sin? Then come to the Lord Jesus now and confess your sins to Him, believing that He suffered and died to take them away. He promise, "The one who comes to me I will by no means cast out" (john 6:37).
Wont you come to him right now.

Something interesting.
PARTING OF THE RED SEA.

Chariot Wheels found at the bottom of  the Red Sea -- See pictures below and the route

You will be surprised to see proof of  Pharaoh's chariot and bones of horses and men found in the
Red Sea.  Evidence of the crossing of the Red Sea .. Pharaoh's drowned army.

Confirmation of the actual Exodus route has come from divers finding coral-encrusted bones and chariot remains in the Gulf of Aqaba. ONE of the most dramatic records of Divine intervention in history is the account of the Hebrews' exodus from Egypt.

The subsequent drowning of the entire Egyptian army in the Red Sea was not an insignificant event, and confirmation of this event is compelling evidence that the Biblical narrative is truly authentic.  Over the years, many divers have searched the Gulf of Suez in vain for artifacts to verify the Biblical account.  But carefully following the Biblical and historical records of the Exodus brings you to Nuweiba, a large beach in the Gulf of Aqaba, as Ron Wyatt discovered in 1978.
Repeated dives in depths ranging from 60 to 200 feet deep (18m to 60m), over a stretch of almost 2.5 km, has shown that the chariot parts are scattered across the sea bed.  Artifacts found include wheels, chariot bodies, as well as human and horse bones.  Divers have located on the Saudi coastline opposite Nuweiba as well.
Since 1987, Ron Wyatt found three four-spoke gilded chariot wheels. Coral does not grow on gold, hence the shape has remained very distinct, although the wood inside the gold veneer has disintegrated making them too fragile to move.

The hope for future expeditions is to explore the deeper waters with remote cameras or mini-subs. (ABOVE GILDED CHARIOT WHEEL -- Mute witness to the miracle of the crossing of the Red Sea by the Hebrews 3,500 years ago. Found with a metal detector. Coral-encrusted chariot wheel, filmed off the Saudi coastline, matches chariot wheels found in Tutankhamen's tomb.

Mineralized bone, one of many found at the crossing site (above center).  This one tested by the Department of Osteology at Stockholm Univers ity, was found to be a human femur, from the right leg of a 165-170cm tall man.  It is essentially 'fossilized', i.e., replaced by minerals and coral, hence cannot be dated by radiocarbon methods, although this specimen was obviously from antiquity.  Chariot wheel and axle covered with coral and up-ended.  Exodus 14:25 'And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily...' Solomon's memorial pillars.
When Ron Wyatt first visited Nuweiba in 1978, he found a Phoenician style column lying in the water.  Unfortunately the inscriptions had been eroded away, hence the column's importance was not understood until 1984 when a second granite column was found on the Saudi coastline opposite -- identical to the first, except on this one the inscription was still intact!

In Phoenician letters (Archaic Hebrew), it contained the words:  Mizraim (Egypt ); Solomon; Edom; death; Pharaoh; Moses; and Yahweh, indicating that King Solomon had set up these columns as a memorial  to the miracle of the crossing of the sea.   Saudi Arabia does not admit tourists, and perhaps fearing unauthorized visitors, the Saudi Authorities have since removed this column, and replaced it with a flag marker where it once stood.

How deep is the water? The Gulf of Aqaba is very deep, in places over a mile (1,600m) deep.  Even with the sea dried up, walking across would be difficult due to the steep grade down the sides.  But there is one spot where if the water were removed, it would be an easy descent for people and animals.  This is the  line between Nuweiba and the opposite shore in Saudi Arabia

Depth-sounding expeditions have revealed a smooth, gentle slope descending from Nuweiba out into the Gulf.  This shows up almost like a pathway on depth-recording equipment, confirming it's Biblical description, '...a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters.' (Isaiah 43:16)
The Bible writers frequently refer to the miracle of the Red Sea crossing, for it was an event which finds no equal in history.  The Hebrew prophets describe the sea at the crossing site as '...the waters of the great deep...the depths of the sea...' (Isaiah 51:10)

Knowing the exact spot to which the Bible writers were referring, what is the depth there?  The distance between Nuweiba and where artifacts have been found on Saudi coast is about 18km (11 miles).

Along this line, the deepest point is about 800m (2,600 feet).  No wonder that Inspired writers of the Bible described it as the mighty waters.  And no wonder that not a single Egyptian survived when the water collapsed in upon them.  (Above right NUWEIBABEACH - the spot where the crossing began)
